Port Dalhousie Heritage Conservation District
As part of a larger consulting team undertaking a Secondary Plan review for the Core Commercial and Harbour Area of Port Dalhousie Catherine Nasmith Architect will be drafting a new Heritage Conservation District Plan for the area. The City of St. Catharines has been generally satisfied with the operation of the existing HCD bylaw as it relates to the residential areas of the current HCD, but wanted to improve the guidelines for the Commercial and Harbour, (public open space) areas. The consulting team consists of Lorelei Jones of Macaulay Shiomi Howson, Anne McIlroy and Matt Reid of Brook McIlroy, and Catherine Nasmith. The plan was completed and adopted by the municipality in early 2018, and has been appealled by one of the landowners.
